Platinum Challenger T² Glow 3m Square Cantilever Parasol in Luna Grey

The Platinum Challenger T² Glow cantilever parasol has all the features of the T² range plus integrated lighting, which will allow you to enjoy the summer days, and evenings, for longer. The light options include direct downward lighting, both upward and downward light, or solely upward for a more ambient, relaxed feel. The lighting is powered by two rechargeable batteries that last up to 3 hours, and can be charged using the included USB charger, making the Glow a more reliable choice compared to parasols that rely on solar panels.

The T² parasol range is distinguished by its double tilt system. The parasol canopy can be tilted forward and backward (like most other Platinum parasols), in addition to step-less sideways, without any movement of the base. The canopy position can be secured at any angle by locking the easy-to-use lever. The parasol can be moved around 360-degrees in a smooth and easy action, guaranteeing shade wherever you need it.

The parasol mechanism is made from durable stainless steel and encased in a strong, powder-coated aluminium housing, which prevents rust and corrosion. The durability and strength of this parasol is further enhanced by its robust, 86x53mm powder-coated aluminium pole, which is finished in anthracite grey.

The tension springs on the ribs keeps the canopy fit tight which has multiple benefits. A taut canopy keeps the parasol stable as it catches less wind, which reduces the risk of the parasol toppling over or flapping around, which can be both annoying and potentially damaging to the parasol itself. It also means the canopy is less susceptible to wear and tear, ensures proper water run-off (no pooling), and looks better: because no one wants a saggy parasol!

The 3m square parasol canopy, in stylish light grey, is made from strong 300g/m² polyester which has a durable water resistant (DWR) coating to repel water, and is dirt-resistant. This parasol's canopy provides a good level – UPF 30+ (up to 96%) – of protection from UV rays, and has a good level of colour fastness: the fabric will retain its colour for 160+ days.

Parasols

• Always follow the assembly instructions for your product closely.
• Check screws and bolts monthly and tighten them if needed.
• Allow a wet parasol to dry in the fully opened position. If a wet parasol has to be closed, open it again as soon as possible and allow it to dry
• When the parasol is not in use always use a protective cover to prevent unnecessary wear caused by the weather. Ensure that the parasol is completely dry before doing so.
• Store the parasol in a cool, dry space.
• To clean the parasol, use lukewarm water, soft detergent and a soft sponge. Use a soft brush to remove surface dirt and dust.
• Use a damp cloth to wipe away any glide marks on the aluminium profiles.
• Parasols should be closed after use and stored away in high winds.
• After closing the parasol, pull out all fabric sections separately and completely between the ribs. Roll up the fabric sections on top of each other and use the band to secure them to the pole.
